This 700-Mile EV Charges in 7 Minutes
REVO ZERO is developing the next generation of electric vehicles (EVs) — ones that boast ranges of up to 700 miles and can recharge in just seven minutes.
According to a Consumer Reports study, seventy-one percent of Americans expressed some interest in buying or leasing an EV. This, in part, due to a drive to take advantage of zero-emission transportation solutions. According to Goldman Sachs, EVs are projected to make up half of all global car sales by 2035.
But currently, EVs aren’t a practical alternative to gas-powered cars and trucks for many consumers. They’re unaffordable or inaccessible. And the biggest barrier is a fear of running out of battery power and being stranded with no way to recharge — a concern commonly referred to as “range anxiety.”
That’s why REVO ZERO is creating EVs never seen before, ones powered by its proprietary pFC Technology (plug-in Fuel Cell). This technology combines a hydrogen fuel cell with a plug-in battery, and is packaged into a sleek sport-utility vehicle (SUV) model the company calls ENERGY.
ENERGY offers both luxury and innovation, along with the world’s longest range of up to 700 miles. It also features a recharging time of just seven minutes and doesn’t sacrifice power.
ENERGY has three rows of seats — all made from sustainable materials — and a large, configurable cargo space. The vehicle can be recharged at home, just like any other EV, and its fuel cell even enables additional charging on-demand.
To accelerate the adoption of its EVs, REVO ZERO is developing a nationwide hydrogen refueling and EV charging network using a modular and scalable approach. The first phase of its network is being deployed with industrial clients through its Hydrogen-as-a-Service (HaaS) model. Here, REVO ZERO owns and operates green hydrogen production and fueling infrastructure and charges its customers only for the hydrogen.
REVO ZERO has raised $1.8 million to-date. And the company has a pending patent for its plug-in battery/hydrogen fuel-cell technology.
In 2021, REVO ZERO completed the design of its pFC Technology and announced its HaaS model. In 2022, the company signed a five-year exclusive contract with Avports, a leading airport operator in the U.S., to deploy hydrogen dispensers and vehicles to airports across America.
Last year, REVO ZERO partnered with Edora, a European solar-energy developer, to start deploying its REVO ZERO network in European markets. Construction also began on a hydrogen-generation hub in Massachusetts to supply green hydrogen to the Northeast U.S.
In December 2023, REVO ZERO announced its ENERGY EV and began accepting pre-orders.
